Course Description

This class provides guidance for seniors seeking a companion, whether platonic or romantic, and are hesitant to tackle the technology and logistics around dating. Discussion and exercises will also assist participants in making choices about dating vs. living alone or cohabiting with friends or family. The class includes a speed-dating event, as well as information about dating via the internet, avoiding scams and attracting viable companions.

Since my academic training and my professional experience have been in communications, it’s only natural that I’d be interested in helping folks to connect well with others. And now that I’m in my own third act, one of the most fun things I do is hold classes for seniors who want to date. Yes, you read that right. This writer has become a dating guide.

My research into senior dating shows that more older people want to date than I’d ever imagined.
