Course Description

Instructor: Bill Allen

We will enjoy student in-class sight readings of quality in-preparation and non-produced short and full length straight plays and/or musical/verse plays followed by useful comment and criticism by everyone in the class. The plays will be provided by the instructor and all students who wish to write and submit short one-act plays. So students will be given the opportunity to sight-read, write, and/or just provide reaction to the plays read in class. Hopefully a jolly good time and educational learning experience for all!

Bio:Taught Broadway Lyricists courses at OLLI 2008-2020 Wrote 500-page dissertation on W.S. Gilbert (Gilbert & Sullivan operettas) for his advanced M.Phil. degree from University of London (England)
