Course Description

Since 2018, Ad Fontes Media has been on a mission to rate the news and make a positive impact on society. For too long, people have not had enough access to impartial ratings of the news. That’s why we’re here today: to rate the news for reliability and bias so you don’t have to. We provide both reliability and bias ratings for over 1800 news sources including websites, TV, and podcasts in a simple, visually appealing way.

Bio: Jen Furlong is an award-winning journalist and highly rated communication consultant and speaker with 30 years of experience in the communication industry and 18 years of experience teaching in higher education. She is the author of Mini-Handbook for Jackasses: Communication & Relationships and a co-author of the forthcoming book, Cracking the Rich Code, endorsed by Tony Robbins. She is a TEDx speaker and TEDx coach and host of the Communication TwentyFourSeven Podcast. Jen is also a Marine Corps veteran, first-generation college graduate, and Ph.D. candidate. Her passion is helping others to become more competent and confident communicators and savvy consumers of information.
