THE IMPACT OF JEWS ON CLASSICAL MUSIC
Composers, conductors or performers, like Felix Mendelssohn, Aaron Copland, Phillip Glass, Leonard Bernstein, Itzhak Perlman, Daniel Barenboim, Jascha Heifetz and Vladimir Horowitz will show us how one of the most fruitful branches of the Jewish renaissance was in music and how migration, war and prejudice were no obstacles for those who innovated in musical expression and gave virtuosity and showmanship a new meaning. Stories, anecdotes and humor in a six class Zoom experience with audiovisuals and musical examples

  • The 1st of the six classes would be dedicated to composers (Mendelssohn, Copland, Bernstein, Glass, etc)
  • The 2nd one to violinists (Heifetz, Stern, Perlman, Bell, etc)
  • The 3rd one to conductors (Klemperer, Ormany, Fiedler, Barenboim, etc)
  • The 4th one to pianists (Rubinstein, Horowitz, Argerich, Ax, etc.)
  • The 5th class to composers of the Holocaust, those who died, those who survived and the recovered instruments.
  • The 6th class to cellists, singers, classical music in Israel, other names and conclusions

About Emanual Abramovits: Concerts promoter since 2000, directly involved in many shows by international artists, like Itzhak Perlman, Gustavo Dudamel, Sarah Brightman, Roger Hodgson, Kansas, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Slash, Backstreet Boys, ASIA, Journey, Kenny G and all main local Symphony Orchestras. Designed and staged many original orchestral events, like MOZARTFEST, PINK FLOYD NUESTRO TRIBUTO (Event of the Year winner) and several world premieres.
