Course Description

During this two-hour comprehensive class, we will prepare you to be a knowledgeable volunteer at non-partisan voter registration drives so you can assist individuals who want to register to vote. We will discuss the requirements for registering to vote in Georgia, how to accurately complete a State of Georgia Voter Registration Application and will review the acceptable forms of identification needed for Election Day in Georgia. We will review best practices for remaining non-partisan at voter registration drives, will cover what it means if someone has a felony on their record and wants to vote, and will go over the pertinent rules and regulations according to Georgia Code as well as prohibited activates surrounding voting registration. Finally we will touch on absentee ballots and how to submit them, and review the importance of provisional ballots. There will also be time allowed for Q&A.
