Course Description

The fledgling U.S. Army Air Service in World War I grew, with fits and starts, into a global power by the end of WW II. It was in the skies over Germany in the years 1943-45 that saw the U.S. Army Air Force launch thousand-plane raids over the Third Reich, deserting literally every major city, industry and the railroad infrastructure. The U.S. Army Air Force would lose more officers than the Infantry in Europe.
