Course Description
Instructor: Nancy Purdon, MAGeorge Saunders teaches writing at the University of Syracuse. He began his career writing short stories in the early 1990s and has published four collections to date. His work has been praised highly for his relentless humor, his exhilarating attention to language and his generosity of spirit. This class will explore his most recent collection, Tenth of December. Class members will discuss the stories as a group and will be asked to read and re-read one or two of these in advance of the discussion. Please purchase the text before the first day of class and read the first story, “Victory Lap.�
