Course Description

Facilitator: Muriel Littman

Virtually walk through The Breman's Holocaust exhibition with a live docent (tour guide). The virtual tour covers all 9 sections of the exhibition: Antisemitism, Jewish Life before the War, The Rise of Nazism, Kristallnacht, Ghettos, Deportation & Concentration Camps, Rescue & Resistance, Liberation, and New Lives. At The Breman, the history of the Holocaust is told using the stories and pictures of the Survivors who moved to Atlanta after the war. When The Breman opened its doors in 1996, these Survivors donated their family pictures, objects, and oral history interviews; These pictures and objects make up 75% of the Holocaust exhibition. Through these Survivor stories, students learn about the Holocaust through the lens of the 4 R's: Jewish Resourcefulness, Resilience, Resistance and Rescue.
