Othello and A Midsummer-Night’s Dream Instructor: Ross Friedman, MA

The scholars at OLLI d’Emory and I have read together three of the four great Shakespearean tragedies one must study to be considered a person of high culture. Othello completes the quartet. Midsummer also looks at love, jealousy, deception, rivalry and friendship -- but in a delightful way. We will discuss both plays and read much of both in class. Ross has an MA in American Studies and was a 30-year Advanced Placement Literature high school teacher
