Course Description

February 21, 2020
10:45am-2:30pm

$40.00/pp
We will board the bus at 10:45am travel via bus to the center for a 11:30am tour time, we will leave the center at 2pm for a return to OLLI at approximately 2:30pm.

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta is an engaging cultural attraction that connects the American Civil Rights Movement to today’s Global Human Rights Movements. The individual galleries engage visitors through a combination of powerful imagery, compelling artifacts, and poignant storytelling.

This is a self-guided museum tour, it includes Entrance to the Center and Transportation via bus to the location. The center's location and limited parking make visiting normally difficult, so OLLI has opted to include transportation to allow the tour possible to our OLLI students. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.

Also, this tour is a good follow up to our Guest Lecture Speaker, President of the Center, Jill Savitt on February 3, 2020. (please check our Guest Lecture Series in the OLLI Catalog)
