Course Description
Instructor: Tom DellTakes a look and a listen to a wide range of singers and entertainers from Georgia. While some were not born in the "Peach State", everyone spent part or all of their lives within its borders. As always we will hear their music and learn a bit about their lives. Oliver Hardy from Harlem, GA., singing cowboy and film star Ray Whitley, Bass High School graduate Ray Whitley who wrote many of the Atlanta Tams songs, Chuck Willis, famous for "The Stroll", Tommy Roe, Colonel Bruce Hampton, Fletcher Henderson and many, many more.
