Is Capitalism “The Scourge of the Working Class� or “The Unknown Ideal�? How does Capitalism compare to other socio-economic systems like Socialism, Communism, Fascism . . .? How do the various forms of Capitalism differ: Market Capitalism, Crony Capitalism, Authoritarian Capitalism . . .? This course will feature a little philosophy, a little economics, and a little history. BUT, there will be no lectures! Instead, we will be employing the Flipped Classroom model where students do Instructional Content (homework) before class, and then come prepared to participate in a vigorous discuss of the assignment. The instructor’s only function is to facilitate this cross-pollination of ideas The course will employ the ‘flipped classroom’ model: students complete instructional content (homework) before class, and then come prepared to participate in a vigorous discussion of the assignments. The instructor will facilitate this cross-pollination of ideas. Gene is a student of objectivism for 45 years, including speaking roles at many objectivist conferences.
