Consideration & discussion of the ancient, enduring question of whether there are or aren’t good reasons to accept that any supernatural Being exists, with pros & cons about the arguments either way, led by an atheist who has debated the question many times.
This course will be divided into eight sessions. Part I: Purposes, Labels, Definitions, and Questions. Part II: Main Arguments for Theism (with flaws from an atheist perspective). Part III: Main Arguments for Atheism (with flaws from a theist perspective). Part IV: Atheism and Science: History and Logic of the Relationship. Part V: Religion and Morality. Part VI: History of Atheism. Part VII: Promoting Atheism: Tactics. Approaches, Humor and Basis for Spreading Atheism (or for being indifferent to its spread). Part VIII:
