Course Description

Decision-making in the healthcare industry is especially critical—turn your data into persuasive visuals to help identify trends and achieve your business goals. Join us to as we employ Power BI to effectively analyze and visualize healthcare data using a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in PowerBI workbooks with healthcare datasets.

Students will learn the importance of data analysis in healthcare and how to apply Power BI capabilities and best practices in order to successfully prepare, visualize, and publish data analysis in a compelling way.

Participants will have online access to datasets, sample PowerBI reports, and dashboards; additional training material will be provided throughout the course.

Course Prerequisites:
Due to the applied nature of this course, it is highly recommended that students have basic to intermediate knowledge of Power BI and experience working with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. Students must also:
  • Have access to a Windows PC with Windows 10 operating system to complete hands-on lab exercises
  • Install Power BI Desktop before class and create an account to access Power BI Service
