Course Description

During legal proceedings, effective use of medical records can often make or break a case for parties on either side. Our course provides the foundation for deciphering and understanding medical acronyms, symbols, and other critical terminology. Additionally, successful participants will learn how to obtain medical records via the discovery process and label common parts of medical notes. Knowing how to perform these tasks correctly can make you an integral part of the legal team and a valuable asset, as medical records frequently play an important role in torts, medical malpractice, products liability, workers' compensation, Social Security disability, criminal/family law and many other areas of law.
