Course Description

This course will explore different strategies and techniques to communicate research with a wide range of audiences. During your time at Emory, you will develop expertise in certain disciplines or areas of study. But it can be challenging to share your work with audiences who might lack familiarity with your area of study. We will hone your ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex ideas to different audiences, via different tools and techniques. The overall goal of this course is to help you become a more confident and flexible communicator while also equipping you with the skills and techniques needed to effectively reach different audiences. 

Learner Outcomes

After completing this course, the learner should be able to:

• Explore different communication techniques and styles in order to reflect on aspects of successful communications 
• Analyze digital tools and technologies • Use different tools to create and communicate ideas
• Develop effective communication strategies and plans
• Utilize different communication tools and techniques to share ideas in different modes and mediums
