Course Description

This course will explore ways that you can leverage the research skills and experiences gained at Emory in your future professional and career endeavors. This course will be broken into a few sections, each exploring different aspects of the research process.

First, you will develop and use search and critical evaluation skills to ensure you can find credible information for a variety of purposes. Next, we will explore project management skills and learn about strategies and techniques to help manage complex research projects, both here at Emory and in the future. Finally, we will consider how to synthesize and effectively share information with different audiences. 

Learner Outcomes

After completing this course, the learner should be able to: 

  • Use search skills to find relevant and credible information
  • Critically evaluate different types of information
  • Develop and execute project management plans
  • Reflect upon and describe the ways in which information is created and produced and the structures and systems that shape those production processes.
