Course Description

Explore the lives and artistic legacies of two of Britain's most celebrated painters, John Constable and J.M.W. Turner. Born just one year apart but raised in vastly different circumstances, these remarkable artists transformed landscape painting in their own distinctive ways. Through a comparison of their backgrounds, artistic styles, and famous works, we'll discover how Constable's realistic depictions of the English countryside contrasted with Turner's dramatic interpretations of light, atmosphere, and nature.
