Step into the rough-and-tumble world of the American West as we explore the lives of famous lawmen and notorious outlaws who became legends of their time. From Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp to Jesse James and Billy the Kid, this course examines the stories behind the heroes and villains of the frontier. We’ll also highlight some of the West’s most infamous women outlaws and trailblazers who challenged expectations and left their own mark on history. Through stories, discussion, and historical context, we’ll separate myth from reality in the Wild West.
Bio: Native Atlantan. Retried in 2022 10+ years with WFM & commercial printing Industry as a graphic designer. Starting in 2016 worked on my first TV production as a background actor. I’ve worked in hundreds of production as a BG actor, and a stand-in, worked on buddies “short film” called “Detention”, portraying a detention hall teacher, telling bad dad jokes. Currently belong to two cowboy/western re-enactment groups performing historical events like the Gun Fight near the OK Corral and other wild west shoot outs, entertaining crowds from kids-seniors. The kids love the photo ops. Interests include music, (a loud guitar player, not great, just loud), movie and TV buff. History nerd too especially in the American Civil War on through the Western expansion. Now retired, work as a part-time actor (background & occasional video short). Involved in reenactment as well (Western & Civil War).
