Course Description
Instructor: Sally Neal (Max 8 Students)
We begin with an individual analysis of your natural speaking voice and how you use it with different audiences. As a group, we’ll explore strengths and areas for growth. You’ll perform provided scripts, discuss what worked and what didn’t, and then try them again with guided direction. We’ll also look at different communication goals—whether for sales, information sharing, documentary style, straightforward announcing, or company narration—and experiment with delivering scripts in a variety of styles. And we’ll have fun along the way!
Bio: A talent agent and voiceover teacher for decades, Sally uses an interwoven basic and advanced curriculum so no one is a beginner and no one is a pro in her class. The reality of voice acting is like on camera acting … in that you become the character you are portraying. That is the challenge. And it takes many forms … an expression or a pace or a tone, just like a hat or a prop can change the character in acting.
