Building off decades of research on brain health and successful cognitive aging, this presentation demonstrates how the art of birding uniquely aids us in maintaining, and enhancing, brain health. Showcasing the complexity of birding, we will be motivated to enjoy birds—for brain health.
Bio: Since 2016, Jack Bruce has been with IMA Financial Group where he is the Director of Wellness-Atlanta, working with employers to enhance the wellbeing of their employees. Jack also founded WellBirds from which he delivers engaging presentations on the wellbeing benefits of birding and nature, showcasing the benefits to our total health. Engaging in nature comes easy to Jack, an avid birder. He volunteers as a field trip leader with Birds Georgia and other area nature-focused organizations. He is also a member of the Georgia Ornithological Society, Alabama Audubon, American Birding Association, and the Nature and Health Alliance.
