3544 - Discussing Topics We Disagree On – a Workshop (Alice Huang)
Course Description
Instructor: Alice Huang
Much of “what everyone’s talking about” these days seems to drive us apart, so we wind up more and more talking with only people we agree with about everything. This workshop is an effort to get more of us talking with each other again, so we can learn from each other, especially when we disagree. I come to this with a background in biomedical research, and experience designing and conducting workshops and leading discussion groups. I look forward to learning with you about topics we disagree on.
Bio: Bio: Much of what we see in the news these days is driving people apart, which interferes with learning the nuances that are key to working constructively together. This course is my attempt to do something about it. I come to this with a background in biomedical research, and experience designing and conducting workshops and leading discussion groups. I will bring what I have learned from that experience to facilitating discussion among the participants in this workshop, and I look forward to learning with you about the topics we choose to discuss.
