3500 - Exploring Sound "Healing" (Eve Smith)
Course Description
Instructor: Eve Smith
Sound has been used for centuries to calm the mind, alter states of consciousness, soothe the body, and support emotional well-being—but how does it really work? In this experiential course, we’ll explore how instruments like the gong and drum can shift brainwave states, support nervous system regulation, and encourage a meditative state. We’ll cover the science behind sound’s impact on the mind and body, clear up common misconceptions, and discuss how sound can be integrated into daily wellness practices.
Each class includes:
A brief overview of sound meditation, history, and its effects
A 20-minute live sound experience (gong, drum, and other instruments)
A 15-minute group reflection and discussion
This course is perfect for anyone curious about sound healing, meditation, or simply looking for new ways to relax.
