Course Description
Instructor: Thomas Peters
Students will learn a variety of communication techniques to assist them in dealing with different types of people, sometimes in difficult situations. The instructor will interject some of his real life career experiences to make the class more interesting. Class participation time will be alloted for students to interject some of their actual experiences with several scenarios offered as possible situations they may have faced.
Bio: Part Time instructor at Rasmussen College, 10 Years as a VP/Controller in the Construction and Banking Industries, 32 years with the IRS, 9 as a Field Agent, 5 as a Supervisory Agent, 10 as a Stakeholder Liaison in Outreach and Education, and 4 as the National Office Lead Analyst in the IRS Disaster Assistance and Emergency Relief Program for the entire U.S. and all U.S. Territories. Partnered with FEMA, the SBA, and represented Treasury on calls with the U.S. President, FEMA Director, Director of Homeland Security, and others, on federal tax relief for individuals and businesses impacted by federally declared disasters.
