Course Description

Move from planning to action with this two-credit course designed to help you implement your well-being and career development plan. Receive personalized, mentored support and gain new insights and tools to not only achieve your current goals but also to envision and work towards a future of continued impact in public health.

Participants will:

• Implement Your Plan: Receive support and guidance to put your well-being and career development plan into action.
• Develop a Compelling Vision: Create a vision that aligns with your values and aspirations, extending beyond your initial plan.
• Identify Your Strengths: Recognize aspects of your multiple intelligences to support your vision and impact.
• Explore Evidence-Based Resources: Develop strategies for navigating uncertainty, managing stress, and thriving in challenging situations.
• Cultivate Healthy Boundaries: Learn to prioritize yourself and build sustainable relationships.
• Design a Personalized Portfolio of Tools: Create a portfolio of tools integrating your well-being and impact towards your vision.

Course Prerequisites: Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of experience in domestic or global public health work (including health care, academic, government, and civil society settings) and are seeking growth, reconnection, or career advancement. 

Learner Outcomes

• Develop a personal and professional vision, incorporating well-being and impact, extending their Personal Action Plan.

• Map strengths across multiple intelligences that support their Personal Action Plan and Vision.

• Describe strategies for growth: successful facilitators, conflict management, strengthening relationships, mapping environments.

• Design a portfolio of tools integrating well-being practices and progress towards vision.
