Course Description

This course explores several common causes of employee grievances that affect employees' equal employment opportunities, including discrimination, harassment, and abuse of power. It is important for human resource professionals to know when and under what conditions employees can bring legal claims against their organizations. Employers who fail to comply with their own grievance procedures can face serious legal repercussions and cause unnecessary harm to their employees. It is vital that human resource professionals address grievances in a fair and ethical manner. This course also focuses on legal issues related to adverse employment actions and the human resource function's relationship to ethical responsibility.

Students have 90 days from the day they are granted access to complete this course.
