This period of art in Europe had a significant impact on modern art and continues to be important to artists today. Starting at the beginning of the “Impressionist” period and continuing with the work of master artists such as Van Gogh, Matisse, and Cezanne, this course will be a visual feast as well as an opportunity to better understand the ideas and practices of these artists.
